True Blood season 1

It has taken me Months! to finish watching Season 1!!! I have gone to Blockbuster I don't know how many times.. get 1 disk at a time. I finished watching the last disk today.

I have read a couple of the books that this show is based on. It seems to be a downside that I have read some of the books. First, I knew who the killer was the whole time. I also knew who was going to sleep with who, ect. It kinda took the mystery out of the whole season. I have only read the first 3 books in the series, so I am hoping some of Season 2 will be "new" to me.

I really thought Bill would be better looking. I have to say, reading the book, I was hooked on Bill. But now watching True Blood... I like Sam and Eric !!

Now, I have Season 2 DVR'd... so now I have to get to watching it !!

Bike ride - 3 miles

Today it took alot of motivation to get on the treadmill !! We had a bbq and I ate way too much and didn't want to run at all !!! But... I got on the treadmill and did it !! ( I am patting myself on the back) I normally listen to an audiobook when I run, but today I decided to listen to a 10k training thing I downloaded on iTunes. I did alot better, felt like I got a good workout!

After I did my 2 miles ( wanted to do 4 but just couldn't do it) Kaleb wanted me to go run with him ... I told him I would ride my bike ..cause I couldn't keep up with him ! Soo, I rode my bike .. actually me, Rik and Hayley rode our bikes. We did 3 miles ! I am going to be soooo sore tomorrow.

Me and Kaleb registered for the 10k. Kaleb will do it with out a problem cause he runs alot for cross country... me on the other hand .... I am out of shape .. unless you consider round a shape :)

This was the 2nd book I read by Mary Margret Daughtridge, the first was SEALed with a Kiss.  I liked the first book better.  This book was good, but didn't seem to keep my interest as much as the first one.

We of course won the game!  GO CARDS!!!  The band did great.  It was a long game.

Tuesday's Tidbits !

Today I took the boys for their yearly physical... which was a joke ... I DO NOT Like our Doctor and will be changing. The physical did not include... eye check, hearing check, shots, etc. He basically listened to their chest, mashed on their stomachs and that was IT ! Also, took Hayley in since she is running a temp.... guess what .... We are ALL on Tamiflu now !!!

After coming home I made a Dump Cake (thanks Carrie!!).

Kids, pool, cliff, sleep

Yesterday while me and Kaleb slept after spending time in the ER... Rik took Shelby, Shane and Shane's Dad to the Cliff. And then came home and took Hayley to the pool. Rik got an underwater camera while he was in California... so he took a couple of pics....

Urgent Care \scratch that ER Visit

Rik decided me and Kaleb needed to be seen by a Doctor, so we went to Urgent Care .. well, they don't take our insurance WHAT.. we have Tricare (military). So, on to the next Urgent care ... which also DID NOT take Tricare!!! Soooo, we went to the local ER. Which is was pleasently surprised that we were seen right away. After Chest xrays, strep swabs and flu swabs.. the diagnoses was FLU! The Dr gave me and Kaleb a RX for Tamiflu.

Meet The Player Night

Tonight was Meet The Player night at the High School. Here are a couple of pictures. They announced the band members by name and they came thru the tunnel. We have a new tunnel this year.. pretty nice !!!

It was a slow starting book, it was until the later chapters that the real excitement started, there was alot of back story in the beginning. But I was not disappointed at all.

School shopping part 2

I am happy to report that I am done shopping for 2 of the 3 kids !!!!

I did pretty good today, me and the kids went to the Outlet Mall....

Pac Sun ... I got:
6 t-shirts ( 4 for Shelby and 2 for Kaleb)
2 jeans (for Shelby)
1 wallet (Kaleb)
Total paid = $81.12 !! I saved $60 by using my pac loot I had earned, and another $30 for sales they had going on !!

Converse ... I got
2 shoes ( for Hayley)

Total Paid = $40!! They had buy 1 get 1 50% off

Gap .. I got
1 dress (Hayley)
1 pair leggings (Hayley)
3 pairs of flip flops (Hayley)

Total paid = $37.95 I got 10% off of everything cause I bought a reuseable bag.. the flip flops were 2 for 10, the leggings were 9.99 and they had an additional 30% off and the dress was on clearance !

All in all I think I did pretty good today! I only need a few things for Kaleb still and I will be totally done !!

Popcorn

I have always LOVED popcorn. Any excuse to pop some popcorn I am all in!!! Well, I may have overdone it.... midnight last night I went to see GI Joe ... got popcorn .. of course. Then today I took Hayley to the movies to see Aliens in the Attic.. and got popcorn again. Tonight my tongue hurts tonight !!! LOL

I took Hayley to see Aliens in the Attic today ! It was a really cute movie. I thought it was going to be a little too cartoony (is that even a word). There were alot of laughs in the movie and keep me from getting bored.

School shopping

I really do hate school shopping, when the kids went to a school that required uniforms it was much easier, or when they were just young enough to let me pick their clothes!!
Since we have had some changes in the last few months (bought new house, laid off, ect.) I have been trying to be thrifty with my shopping.

When we were down South at my parents, we went to the mall and Aeropostale had a great sale. We also got coupons for 40% off online. I ordered Shelby and Hayley some shirts.

Last weekend I had a 40% off coupon for Old Navy so I took Hayley shopping and got some great things. As we were leaving Old Navy, I spotted a store I had never been in... so we stopped in. The store was Justice for Girls -- how could I have missed this store, it has mostly NEON clothes!! Hayley was in heaven, I was in shock .. how could girls where some of the clothes?? Ekk .. anyway, after looking a the prices, I went straight to the clearance rack. I did find Hayley 2 skirts, that were normal colors!!

Soo, tomorrow we are going to the outlet mall to spend our PacLoot from Pac Sun . I hope that will be the end of school shopping, at least until October when the kids seen to out grown everything from the beginning of school !!

GI Joe movie

Well, I took Shelby and his friend to see G.I. Joe at midnight last night !!  WOW-- it was an awesome movie!!!!  The only bad thing was the theatre was packed and we sat in the 3rd row .. a little too close for me!!  Great movie!!

I have 3 of these tractor seat stools... I am going to sand them down and paint them.. not sure of the colors yet.
This was my Granny's!! I am sanding it down and painting it red to go with my kitchen!!

Book Review - SEALed with a Kiss

This was a pretty good book, it kept me interested which is a plus in my book. I thought it would be a little more "adult" but it was a nice romance. I plan on reading her other book, SEALed with a Promise soon!!
